RECAP MÜNCHEN

We can’t say enough positive things about this venue: infrastructure, stage, staff, and especially the epic catering are the reasons why we always love playing here. Last time, we had the honor of performing in a packed Backstage Hall before Lacrimas Profundere – this time we were next door again in the Backstage Club, which is smaller but also cozier in a positive way. What remained the same: alongside Never Back Down, our friends from May The Tempest joined us again – good vibes guaranteed!
However, after our arrival, we had to deal with a little shock: Never Back Down had a breakdown just before Munich, and it quickly became clear that they, along with the drum set we were sharing on this tour, wouldn’t make it in time for the soundcheck. May The Tempest and we didn’t have much to do at first, but we came up with a clever solution:
Dario uses a kick pedal with integrated bass drum triggers. As long as the pedal hits something, you can play with the electronically generated sound without an actual bass drum. So, we set up the cymbals and snare, placed a water crate and a bag as a “bass drum” in front of the pedal – and voilà, the drum kit without drums was ready, and the schedule was saved. Fortunately, the Never Back Down guys arrived just in time before the doors opened, so we managed to set everything up and start the show as planned.
The same good words we have for Backstage also apply to the Munich crowd: We’re welcomed not only warmly but also in great numbers, almost as if we were a real Munich band.
Once again, the guys and girls in the moshpit were going wild from the very first second and partied hard. Needless to say, we had an absolute blast for 45 minutes!
During the show, we also spontaneously wished two birthday kids a happy birthday, before relaxing and enjoying Never Back Down’s awesome headliner gig after our set was done.
