RECAP HAMBURG

"Chillin' at the golf course around 6pm, minding my own business, when Chris calls. "Henrik, where are you? We're supposed to be loading the van for Hamburg tomorrow!" Turns out we completely forgot about it. Whoops!
Within 10 minutes, Chris and I are at the rehearsal space throwing our gear in the van. After the traffic nightmare we hit in Hannover, we were mainly worried about making it to Hamburg on time. But the excitement of playing there quickly took over. The next morning, though, a different surprise awaited us.
It was super early, meeting at Chris' place at 8am sharp. Only one person missing - Domi. He got sick overnight, way too sick for the 6-hour drive. So, the newly formed trio of us had to step up. Just like the night before, the mood stayed positive and the excitement was still there. This time, the drive went smoothly. We grabbed a quick bite at a fast food joint and arrived in Hamburg almost on time. We were surprised to find the venue right next to the famous Penny on the Reeperbahn – the place was buzzing!
We unloaded the van in record time and got ready for soundcheck, pumped for the show. It felt weird at first, Chris and I looking out at the crowd with Jonas backing us up. But the second the first note hit, it was like entering another world. We were having a blast, especially when some fans started singing along! That filled us with pride and fueled our energy even more.
After the gig, I took over merch duty (a sneaky way to avoid tearing down the stage, haha) and chatted with some fans. When the van was loaded again, we realized another problem – we were starving! So, the three of us hit the Reeperbahn in search of food. Jonas was so hungry he almost went for the hotdog display model. Two dürums and a hotdog later, we were back at the venue. Of course, we had to take a picture in front of the famous Penny (I'd just watched a documentary about it, funny coincidence!).
After the Never Back Down guys finished, we all grabbed drinks at a bar and shared stories. It was a great moment that deserved a photo.
We checked into our B&B and hit the hay. The next day, the drive home had some traffic – there's no escaping it completely.
But hey, that was probably the first and last time Torrential Rain played as a trio. The atmosphere was electric, and the crowd was awesome. Hamburg, we'll definitely be back!"
